Rouse Hill - Northern Precinct

The next stage of GPT’s successful mixed-used transit-oriented precinct at Rouse Hill, the Northern Precinct represents a keystone opportunity to unlock the full potential of Rouse Hill Town and unite an exceptional mix of elements. Pontoon worked with GPT to communicate their Planning Proposal and Vision to The Hills Shire Council, aligning to their own strategic vision and priorities.

The brief

Develop an inspiring video presentation to demonstrate GPT’s vision for the future of the Rouse Hill Precinct, responding to, and tightly aligning with The Hills Shire Council’s detailed vision and strategic priorities for this transit-oriented, mixed-use urban centre.

The solution

As a team that had worked on Rouse Hill Town Centre in past, Pontoon’s strategists and writers understood the unique qualities of this suburban centre and the well-established garden heritage of The Hills. We worked tightly with GPT’s development team to create a script and video which communicated their vision for the site, a mix of residential, commercial, healthcare and retail integrating with the current Town Centre TOD, and the proposed hospital.

The script and video was carefully structured around The Hills Shire Council’s strategic vision and priorities to demonstrate GPT’s close alignment to their desired outcomes including homes and employment, whilst not only holding onto the unique spirit of Rouse Hill Town Centre, but enhancing community connection, permeability, connectivity and natural amenity. At the heart of the masterplan is a generous Town Park and green space ribbon connecting diverse building typologies and uses. Through smart use of CGIs and motion graphics, we were able to present the key features of the masterplan design in a concise and compelling presentation.
